Masarrat Misbah was invited as speaker by Madadgaar on the Launching Ceremony of Pakistan\'s first Helpline for children and women. It responds to distress calls by offering immediate assistance and linking them to long-term rehabilitation. The Session was chaired by Zakia Shah Nawaz, Chief Minister’s Advisor on Social Welfare in Punjab. The panel of speakers also included Justice (Retired) Nasira Iqbal, and representatives of law enforcing agencies.
Masarat Misbah congratulated Madadgaar for the much needed initiative to serve as the first point of contact for victims of violence, abuse and exploitation through guidance and referrals to partners (including shelters, hospitals, lawyers, law enforcement agencies, media etc).
Team DSF takes pride in sharing success stories of the brave survivors who are associated with us. Under shelter of Depilex Smileagain Foundation they have undergone series of surgeries, many have received vocational training and are respectfully employed.
We strongly urge positive forces, philanthropists, change activists, capable business and commercial organizations to come forward and help us in reviving the lives of these sufering survivors, through in kind or cash donations. We rely on hope in conjunction with our efforts.
Depilex Smileagain Foundation has a thorough reporting system recording progress and wellbeing of the registered clients. Apart from looking after clients needs Depilex Smileagain Foundation also runs a strong media campaign to create social awareness about Violence Against Women.
