Team DSF takes pride in sharing success stories of the brave survivors who are associated with us. Under shelter of Depilex Smileagain Foundation they have undergone series of surgeries, many have received vocational training and are respectfully employed.
We strongly urge positive forces, philanthropists, change activists, capable business and commercial organizations to come forward and help us in reviving the lives of these sufering survivors, through in kind or cash donations. We rely on hope in conjunction with our efforts.
Depilex Smileagain Foundation has a thorough reporting system recording progress and wellbeing of the registered clients. Apart from looking after clients needs Depilex Smileagain Foundation also runs a strong media campaign to create social awareness about Violence Against Women.
To help female survivors and victims of acid and kerosene oil burns in Pakistan by providing them appropriate medical attention and reconstructive surgery, psychological/ psychiatric support, shelter and vocational training.
To create social awareness and sensitivity by working towards the complete eradication of this heinous crime.
CHAIRPERSON'S MESSAGE
In our world full of smiles, color and joy, we rarely seem to realize how much pain, anguish and agony befalls all those poor unfortunates who become victims of such a brutal atrocity, at times robbing them off their essential right of life even!
It is not merely one life that such atrocities put at stake; it is a host of relations, and sometimes whole families, whose lives get disrupted, distorted and perpetually disfigured with the heinous act of acid or Kerosene oil throwing on one single but completely innocent and defenseless victim.
We at Depilex Smileagain Foundation, since the organization’s formal inception in 2003, have utterly devoted ourselves for this vital issue that challenges life’s very existence. By the grace of the Almighty, as have our resolve and efforts heightened so has the public awareness and support with regards this brutal atrocity. With the recent passing of a bill by the Parliament against the culprits of this crime, our hopes have found a new impetus.
